Reviews
I’ve had this assembled about a week and have already put it to use several times. It was pretty easy to put together with two people. It’s smooth and gets the job done. Takes up very little space in my charade, which I love! I did buy a couple of more attachments and will likely add 1-2 more, but you can get started with the attachments that come with it. I’m a 41 year old female and have been constantly using adjustable dumbbells over the past year. I usually work out solo, so I like the machine for certain lifts because it’s a bit safer. I still use my dumbbells though. This was a great buy! It took a bit long to ship, but once it arrived nearby, the truck company called and set up delivery the very text day. They were on time and placed it inside the garage for us.
Pros:
Amazing addition to my tandem garage gym. Well designed, 225 lb stacks, easy to follow built instructions, helpful customer service, and outstanding quality.
Cons:
Minor blemishes on the top and bottom brackets
Feedback:
Recommend LB / KG stickers on the weight stacked, especially since they do vary based on the bundle purchased versus the #1-15 stickers provided.
Lots of other big companies get all the praises with their functional trainers and integrated systems, but it’s almost criminal that this isn’t talked about the best. Exactly big enough for a good stretch on exercises, while still having floor spacing. Quality to the max. Great feel and very solid and smooth, but only 3 complaints. One, give us the option for an upgrade with aluminum pulleys with high quality bearings. Two, give me feel weight stickers, not single digit numbers. Three, have an YouTube video for assembly and installation purposes. Other than that. Perfect.
Hello, thanks for the great review and feedback. Really glad you are liking your ANKER.
To address your questions/concerns:
1. We investigated aluminum pulleys as an option after some requests and could not honestly tell a distinguishable difference. The machine uses the same pulleys we include with our full commercial equipment, same ones we have been using in the field for 20 years. Our concensus was the pulleys 'looked cool' but it was hard to tell if the feel changed at all. We want to keep the price point as competetive as possible, so we opted to continue with what we knew worked. There are pulleys you can order aftermarket from Amazon and other places if you decide those are necessary.
2. The stickers are a challenge for all strength companies with the various stack size options and weight ratios available for the various machines. We had feedback and tried all ways, some wanting numbers, some wanting weight plate actual weight, some wanting weight plate feel with weight ratio considered. Numbering the stack plates nd having the user learn (happens quickly typically) converting the numbers to actual has been the most successful.
3. In the works, also revamping the included assembly manuals based on feedback.
Couldn’t be anymore perfect for my converted 10x10 space - so minimal! Pretty simple to put together and the quality overall is outstanding. Not one single mark or blemish.
Only feedback:
1. Would like the plates to be numbered as actual weight vs. the #1-20 stickers, but I can deal with a little simple math in my head.
2. Wasn’t aware at checkout there were parts on back order, so it took close to a month to receive my pallet. Some sort of “FYI” would be appreciated.
Other than that, 10/10.
The amount of space that this saves and the amount of things you can do with it is incredible. Quality welds, materials, and finish. Looks and feels better than some commercial options I've worked with. Very much appreciated the included attachments and hangers.
Very easy to assemble and was packaged well. Good shipping/delivery experience through XPO. I was able to install on my own in an afternoon.
